Alien Attack is an easy aim and shoot game. Use your mouse to aim your yellow telescope site at the desired enemy ship and then with a click of the left part of your mouse an enemy is shot down and destroyed. At first it is hard to distinguish the enemy ships from your own. Your ships come at you flying overhead and are almost like a metallic blue in color. You will get a reminder of "friendly fire" if you accidentally shoot down one of them.
You start off the game with a fully charged red bar of strength. 3 or 4 enemy ships can be coming at you at any given time, so it is good if your hand eye coordination is a skill that is on a high level. If not, it will take you a few tries to get the hang of this game. When the enemy ships shoot at you they light up green and the screen flashes red for a quick second. They also take away your strength little by little with each hit. Keep your eyes focused on the screen, but do take account of the entire area. These ships come from all around. The rocks up close and far away are great hiding spots for the enemy ships. Your ships come from these areas too so be careful. Don't get trigger happy. You may wind up taking out your own ships. Your energy level goes down when this happens too. It is a lose-lose situation when the enemy strikes you and you retaliate by accidentally taking out one of your own ships.
While playing Alien Attack, give it your full and constant attention. You take your eyes off the screen for just seconds and your energy level has been diminished and the game is over. It does not take much to lose in this game. Less than 10 enemy hits and your mars base has been taken over.
