Air Hockey can be played online at Arcadeonline.com. This is a mini version of the highly competitive 2 player game. It is you against a computer player so your air hockey skills need to be on top of their game. The online version includes an option to play the game at three skill levels. These levels are easy, medium, and hard. Beginners need to start with the easy skill level and build up their game and then move up to the medium or hard levels.
The player that is first to get to 7 points in Air Hockey wins the game. Possession of the puck depends on whoever is scored upon. Your curser becomes the mallet that is used to knock the puck around and help get it to your opponent's goal line before they get to your goal line. As long as the puck is over the center line on your side, then it is in your possession. Stay on top of your goal line. Block it and move around the ice to keep the puck away from your goal line and that will keep the computer player on their toes. They will not know which way the puck is headed when you hit it. One-step in the wrong direction and you have been scored on. If at any time your mouse moves the cursor off of the air hockey board, then your mallet is unmovable. The game does continue to play when this happens. Do not leave yourself open for your opponent to score a goal.
Air Hockey is a game of skill. This game lets you move the mallet in any direction and any part of the mallet can be used to hit the puck. The objective is simple. It is to get 7 goals before the computer player does. This might sound like an easy task, but as you hit the puck you will notice that the hockey board is quite slippery. Your designated shot may not go where exactly you want it too. It is hard to control the mallet. Hand eye coordination is a great skill for Air Hockey. It takes this skill to keep your eye on the puck, your goal line, and what your opponent is doing. Plus your hand has to guide your mouse as the mallet to score a goal, possibly the winning goal.
